Germany's Energy has come a long way of transformation, gaining their individual traits, that are largely differing from global trends. Currently, Germany is the mistress of the European energy system, so from where will turn its energy vector depends on the fate of the European Union. Article is devoted to the comprehensive analysis of the trends transforming of the energy economy of Germany, which provides an answer to the question: what are the real prospects for his development, taking into account economic, ecologic and geopolitical realities. Energy turnaround is, on the one hand, a massive challenge, on the other - it opens a huge opportunity. Germany's attention focuses on a strategy of innovative development of energy, efficient energy management and energy security issues. The article presents the views of linking energy future of the society with the development of clean, renewable energy sources.
