POSSIBILITIES OF ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING OF ATMOSPHERIC AIR AROUND THE THERMAL POWER PLANTS BY METHODS OF LASER REMOTE SENSING

Abstract

Facilities of laser remote sensing as an effective method of lidar-based environmental monitoring of the thermal power plants’ air basin are considered. Principles of lidar monitoring systems development are described. Features of description and processing of the laser sensing echo-signals obtained from the industrial areas’ air are reviewed. Outlooks of using the contactless lidar-based method to solve the environmental problems are discussed.
