Abstract

The cost of natural gas transport component within the borders of Russia reaches 50% or more, so it is necessary to minimize the expense of innovation. The authors developed a method of assessing the effectiveness of the use of electricity for the purposes of the gas transportation system in filling gaps in the schedules reload the night period by the plant. The results show improving the efficiency of nuclear power plants, the growth of utilization of installed capacity (load factor) and the decrease in the total gas consumption in power systems consisting of combined cycle gas turbines (CCGT) and nuclear power plants, in the case of the transition to the interconnection on the basis of nuclear power plants and compressor stations of main gas pipelines, units which are equipped with a gas turbine and electric drive, with the work of the latter in the night (deficit-free) period.
