Abstract

This paper is devoted to a new approach to estimating operation mode parameters and their further optimization. The state estimation and optimization processes are based on a new mathematical model, which consists of energy balance equations. This approach allows to get some advantages compare to a traditional model, where the estimation and optimization tasks are performed separately using classical steady-state equations. The proposed unified model according to the amount of power energy at the certain time intervals gives a better result under the changes of both topology and operation modes, which usually takes place in the distribution grids. The capabilities of the unified model are demonstrated through calculation on power/energy flow test distribution grid.
