Abstract
А calculation scheme for the utilization of chips of old wooden sleepers in a vortex furnace is proposed. The vortex furnace provides two zones of reaction of a combustible substance with air: the primary zone is the gasification of old sleepers and the afterburning of the solid residue with a lack of air oxygen, the secondary zone is the burning of the gas phase. The initial data for the thermodynamic calculation is given. The results of the equilibrium calculation of the thermal decomposition of wood on the grate and the combustion of gasification products are presented for different values of the excess air factor, as well as some experimental data. A comparison of the calculation results with the experimental data is carried out.

Abstract

Manufacturers and consumers of transformers rather conservatively concern all innovations in transformer manufacture since in power distributive transformers are inherent long term of the operation, essential cost and a purchasing cycle. Progress of perfection of a design of the transformer is substantially defined now by creation new and perfection used conduction, magnetic and insulating materials.

Regarding creation new conduction the materials applied by manufacture of mains transformers, it is possible to allocate high-temperature superconducting materials and, accordingly, the HTS transformers created with their application. Pre-production models of HTS transformers with use HTS of a tape of 2nd generation on the basis of superconducting ceramics GdBCO are already made and are tested. Development of manufacturing techniques of the hightension cable has allowed to create a cable with isolation from cross linked polyethylene (XLPE) and to apply it in the field of transformer technologies by working out of the new dryformer.

Regarding creation of new magnetic materials the special role is taken away so-called, to the nano-crystal alloy which features have laid down in a basis of creation of new type of amorphous core transformers. Now in the world works on working out of tapes from the amorphous alloys possessing improved magnetic properties and cheapness, in particular Fe(Co)SiBPCCu and 2605SA1 are conducted. As tendencies in change of type of the core and its design are observed. More and more wide application at manufacturing of power three-phase transformers small and a mean power is found by the strip-wound cores which design is executed on technology UNICORE. As interest to a design of cores of the electrotechnical steels executed from different types and received the name “Sandwich” is shown.

Regarding perfection of used insulations materials, it is possible to note application of electrotechnical gas (SF6) in transformers in circuit-breaker oil replacements. Such transformers have received the name gas-insulated transformers, and their obvious advantage are ecological compatibility and fire safety.

Now it is much spoken about creation of so-called Smart Grid, and their transition in the future to the most effective systems of a highest level called now Microgrid. Certain demands are made to the specified electric systems: maintenance optimum capacity factor and high electrical power factor. The resulted requirements, at present, can be realised only new semiconductor transformers, such as the “Sen” transformer.

Abstract

The development of the modern world directly depends on the development of transport infrastructure. One of the types of transportation is the pipeline system, they are designed mainly for the delivery of liquid from one region to another, the most popular pipelines are oil pipelines and gas pipelines. Water pipelines are usually located in densely populated areas, while oil pipelines are often located in hard-to-reach areas, for example, in the regions of the Far North. As a rule, such territories do not have a centralized power supply, which creates additional difficulties in ensuring their functioning. Generally, diesel generators are the source of electricity in such regions. Based on the analysis of the oil transportation cycle, the authors proposed a certain way to increase its energy efficiency and increase reliability. The aim of this work is increasing energy efficiency and reliability of electrical equipment for own needs in oil pipelines. To achieve this goal, it is proposed to replace diesel generators with plants using renewable energy sources. In particular, it is proposed to use wind-solar installations. These installations are supposed to be used as the main power sources, while diesel generators will be used as stand-by sources of energy. The article provides a feasibility study for this event, as well as specific technical solutions for its implementation. First of all, this event will reduce fuel costs. Also, this will increase the category of reliability of the emergency valve from the third to the first.

Abstract

This paper presents comparative analysis of influence of main factors, determining characteristics of dielectric coatings, both on the corrosion of underground metal pipelines and on their cathodic protection. At the same time, it was identified that, as a priority approach in the development of coatings to protect pipelines in the ground (without the use of cathodic protection), it is necessary to choose to reduce the electrical conductivity of the coatings as a result of their saturation with soil electrolyte. This measure significantly reduces the efficiency of corrosion elements that are likely to occur when dielectric coating is damaged. As for priority in the development of coatings for combined protection of pipelines in the ground, it is necessary to increase the mechanical strength of coatings and to implement a set of measures to prevent the formation of insulation defects and to eliminate them. Actions taken in this direction significantly reduce the amount of protective current necessary for active corrosion protection of underground metal structures.

Abstract

Supercritical fluid extraction regeneration of the ion-exchange KU-2FPP catalyst is investigated. Results of change of mass of the catalyst are presented during regeneration at T = 383-393 K and P = 15-25 MPa and IR spectrums of chloroformic extracts of the studied catalyst samples. Results of the conducted researches allow to draw a conclusion on effective removal of polar and unpolar organic compounds. However the collateral reaction connected with emergence of dialkylphthalate is a probable cause of inefficiency of regeneration process with participation of SC-CO2 as the extractant. And use supercritical propane - butane mix (T = 393 K, P = 10-15 MPa) as the supercritical extractant allows to restore activity of the catalyst to the level meeting the requirements of industrial use.

Abstract
Hydrodynamic processes in a vertical well casing during implosion are considered. Mathematical modeling of the motion of a two-phase medium with a free surface is based on the volume of fluid method. Unsteady Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes equations are supplemented by the Menter’s Shear Stress Transport turbulence model. Numerical calculations were performed by the finite volume method using the open integrated platform OpenFOAM. It was found that the depression period is 1 s, and the maximum pressure at the control point is 1.8 times higher than the hydrostatic pressure at the given input parameters.
